Writing

We have no rules at VOXX about what you can or can’t write about. All we ask is that you are fair and balanced in your view. Anything can spark an idea for an article – it could be something you’re passionate about, something you and your friends are talking about, or even something that really cheeses you off.

If you’re interested in something, the chances are our readers are too.

If you’ve never written before, it’s not a problem. As long as you’ve got the idea then we can help you turn it into an article.

Volunteer story: Matt Greenacre

“I first joined VOXX after visiting a local job fair in 2008. Since then I’ve gone on to write many different articles, on many subjects of my choice - enabling me to build a strong portfolio of work whilst being a great way to learn different aspects of journalism.

I love being able to write about things I want to write about; myself, my views and opinions, and seeing the end result published in a fantastic magazine. I love that I can design the layout for the magazine, take pictures and generally be involved in all aspects of the production too, not just the writing.

VOXX is run by friendly and talented people that help make it such a pleasure to volunteer for.It has helped boost my confidence, improved my writing skills and even helped me in job interviews.”
