VOXX was founded in 2008 in response to market research carried out by CPO Media; local young people wanted a magazine of their own. CPO were able to secure funding from the government's v programme (see www.vinspired.com)  - which promotes volunteering among 16-25 year olds.

VOXX is a unique magazine, being produced by and for young people. Headed by a volunteer Editor and Sub-Editor, the magazine is supported by over 100 contributors. Volunteers take on all the roles involved in creating a magazine from design, writing and photography, to distribution and events management.

We welcome anyone between the ages of 16-25; we have a particular emphasis on engaging those who are NEET, at risk of exclusion, young offenders and young parents. We offer a variety of media training, employability skills and pastoral support, and are very proud of our successful track record in helping young people back into work, education or training.

Our success was recognised in 2009 when VOXX was awarded the Positive Images Award for Best Youth Magazine.
