My Hero One’s Justice
‘My Hero One’s Justice’ is a recent fighting game based on the anime and manga series, ‘My Hero Academia’, or ‘Boku No Hero Academia’, and features a fantastic story mode that recreates some of the best fights from the show, only instead of just watching you now get to be a part of the action yourself.
What most surprised me about this game was the sheer amount of content included, very impressive for a none AAA title. Despite a few framerate issues, the online mode is great, and each battle feels different from the last. I just wish you could switch character throughout, rather than choosing from the main menu and then being stuck with your choice until you quit. There is also a customisation feature that allows you to switch up your characters’ costumes. This too could be a little more in depth though, as you have to be really clever if you want them to be unique but not too silly.
However, it is mostly let down by the story, which in my opinion is the worst thing about it. You can play the story through both the heroes’ and the villains’ perspective, but where the game picks up is already halfway into the show, rather than near the beginning, which I thought was an odd choice. It’s an interesting game, but it could have been so much more.
