Feed the Kid – Red River review!
Even at first glance, Feed The Kid look the part. Seemingly clad in all the shabby-chic wonderfulness that their local thrift store had to offer, and each sporting a rather glorious moustache, they certainly stand out from the crowd. But there’s more to this Manchester band than meets the eye – much more. Their newest single ‘Red River’, packed full of punchy guitar riffs (which can easily bring to mind the iconic sounds of classic Rock & Roll), smooth, fluid bass lines, and crashing, emphatic drums a-plenty, all beautifully tied together with brooding frontman Curtis’ melodic yet awesomely raw vocals, you can soon find yourself tapping your feet and moving around to the fresh and vibrant sounds of this promising 5 piece. As well as being taken under the wing of BBC Introducing bosses, and recently having ‘Red River’ added to Manchester United’s ‘OT Playlist’, the band are scheduled to set out on a UK and EU tour later this year. All of this considered, Feed The Kid sound and look ready to burst into the scene in a BIG way. So make sure you keep your eyes peeled for these guys; they could very easily be making their way into your own summer soundtracks this year!
