Dead By Daylight

Dead By Daylight is a multiplayer horror game where one person plays a killer trying to hunt four survivors. The game is probably mostly known for its characters, consisting of both original characters and movie favourites such as Freddy Kruger, Leather Face and Michael Myers.

The game has many ports, but the PC version has some issues, so that’s worth keeping in mind. For the most part, it is fun to play, though it can get a bit repetitive if you play for a while.

There are different ways you can play this game. If you’re a survivor, you have to fide from the killer whilst trying to fix five generators to open the door and escape. If you’re caught you’ll be put on a hook and be taken away by a strange monster. If you’re the killer, your job is to kill all four survivors before they can escape.

The game is good, but it’s still not without its problems. For starters, the DLC is around £6, which is a bit much for a game that is already flooded with micro-transactions. Also, when the game lags it’s like walking on a minefield, and depending on the host internet connection you will more than likely lose connection mid-game.

Other than this, there isn’t really an issue. The graphics look really nice, and the art style of the characters and environments really give you that feel you’d want from a horror game like this one. Behaviour Interactive is a small company that really tries hard with their games, which also include Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade. Therefore it’s no surprise that Dead By Daylight is a great game that’s just really fun to play with your friends.

  • This Month’s Theme

The idea of talking about Christmas in September divides the nation, but we’re going to do it anyway, because the next issue is planned for release just in time for the holidays!

In the past we’ve focused on the commercial side, and on entertainment, but this year we’re thinking a little differently.

While we are still accepting content on any topic and still love to read all your reviews, we would like to put an emphasis on feelgood stories, things that can open our eyes or make us feel something, whether that’s advice on conquering a fear or goal, stories from real people in the community, celebrations and events, stories of experiences or foreign, far off places, or perhaps something as simple as a warming family recipe.

Good luck, and happy writing! Content deadline November 1st.
