Beautiful Holiday Destinations
There are so many beautiful places to go on holiday. With there being a massive 195 different countries in the world, not to mention the number of towns, villages and cities within these countries, it’s hard to know where to choose. Below, I have compiled my top four places to visit for those with an eye for beauty.
China isn’t usually a country which comes to mind when the word ‘beautiful’ is mentioned, however from my perspective, it is highly underrated. From architecture to nature to city lights, China has it all and I certainly believe it is one of the most beautiful countries on the planet. Chinese architecture is unlike that of any other countries. Whether it is a major building, such as the Great Wall, or a bandstand in a local park, every piece of architecture in China has its own Chinese flare, which buildings in other countries simply don’t have. China also has wonderful wildlife and nature, with native animals such as pandas, tigers, elephants and snow leopards, and that’s just to list a few. A major attraction in China is The Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base in Chengdu, which exists as a result of the beautiful natural habitats that the country hosts. For all these reasons, along with many more, China has a deserving spot as one of my top four most beautiful holiday destinations.
3. PARIS, FRANCE
Paris is the capital of France and is located to the North of the country. The city is a popular tourist destination for all sorts of reasons, ranging from the mouth-watering culinary creations to the captivating culture and history, all of which help the destination to be as elegant as it is. The built attractions in Paris really add to allure of the city, and some of these include the Louvre Art Museum and, of course, the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is an exquisite piece of architecture which holds a lot of historical value, as it was built almost 130 years ago. Not only is it stunning to look at, as it is over 1,000 feet tall those who choose to climb the tower will also be able to see the fascinating views which surround Paris. In addition, Paris is the birthplace of haute culture and fashion, which makes the city even more gorgeous, as not only is the destination itself beautiful, but the people who live within it are too!
2. SARDINIA, ITALY
Sardinia is a large island which lies within the Mediterranean Sea. The island is located between Sicily, Italy, and Corsica, France. From colourful architecture to clear, blue seas, Sardinia has it all. Not only is the island itself a lovely sight to see, the cultures and customs within the area make it even more attractive as a destination. There are a wide range of local customs and traditions in Sardinia which differ to the rest of Italy. These include things like parades, wild horseback riding, and religious events such as pilgrimages and processions. These events happen year round and it is a certainty that the locals will be wearing colourful, traditional costumes during the celebrations, to really add to the atmosphere. With all of the above said, possibly the most gorgeous aspects about Sardinia may be the pink beaches. Sardinia is one of the only countries in the world to host a pink beach, which is why it is in my top four.
1. BORA BORA, TAHITI
The island of Bora Bora is Tahiti’s most famous island, and it’s not hard to see why. The island is the home to luscious, long stretches of white sand beaches, all perfectly partnered with placid, turquoise waters. Tahiti’s online website refers to the area as ‘The Jewel of the South Seas’. The most popular resorts in Bora Bora are over-water bungalows, which overlook views of the incredible lagoons and dramatic, volcanic peaks surrounding the island. The majority of the resorts offer butler services to really pamper guests and complete the luxurious and romantic atmosphere that the destination provides. These are just a few of the reasons why Bora Bora is ranked my #1 most beautiful holiday destination.
