Battling Mental Health
As someone who suffers with ‘anxiety and a little bit of depression’, I can honestly say I was beyond scared at first, as I didn’t know what the heck it was. It sounds scary, and it is scary having these things- constantly battling your own mind, thinking you’re not good enough or you’ll never amount to anything. I find it hard to order my own food and drink in cafès, restaurants etc; the most simplest of tasks to other people become 100× harder for me. It’s hard living with any mental illness… it really is.
Help is out there though, don’t feel ashamed of having to ask for it, people do generally care. Having a mental illness of any sort doesn’t make you any less human.
To quote 2 heroes of mine: ‘Why Do We Fall? So We Can Learn To Pick Ourselves Up’ and ‘You’ll Never Know If You Can Fly, Unless You Take The Risk Of Falling’…
Love yourself, you are truly worth it, whether you feel like it or not. You was put on this planet for a reason.
