23899386_798065380378091_1418140443_nAdventure time is an American TV show created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. It officially premiered on April 5, 2010 and still is ongoing but the last season will continue in 2018.

It follows the adventures of a boy named Finn and his best friend and adoptive brother, Jake – a dog with magical power to change shape and size at will. Finn and Jake live in the post-apocalyptic land of Ooo, where they intact with Princess Bubblegum, The ice king, Marceline the Vampire Queen, BMO and many other characters throughout the series. The Ice King also has a book where makes stories about Fionna and Cake (which is a gender bend on Finn and Jake). It sounds strange, but it’s good.

Finn roams the land of Ooo righting wrongs and battling evil, usually in the form of The Ice King who is in search of a wife. The Ice King decides he should wed Princess Bubblegum, thought she doesn’t want to marry him. Still, he persists in trying to kidnap her, and Finn and Jake along with Lady Raincorn do their best to keep her from harm.

The reason why it’s one of my favourite animated TV shows is because of the story but particularly because of the art style and the way it is drawn. Animated things are great because each animator has a different style, and I really love that.

  • This Month’s Theme

The idea of talking about Christmas in September divides the nation, but we’re going to do it anyway, because the next issue is planned for release just in time for the holidays!

In the past we’ve focused on the commercial side, and on entertainment, but this year we’re thinking a little differently.

While we are still accepting content on any topic and still love to read all your reviews, we would like to put an emphasis on feelgood stories, things that can open our eyes or make us feel something, whether that’s advice on conquering a fear or goal, stories from real people in the community, celebrations and events, stories of experiences or foreign, far off places, or perhaps something as simple as a warming family recipe.

Good luck, and happy writing! Content deadline November 1st.
