Jockey Club Live presents ‘An Evening At The Races’ is proud to welcome SIR TOM JONES to Market Rasen Racecourse, who will be bringing his huge repertoire of hits from across genres and generations including ‘Kiss’, ‘Delilah’, ‘She’s A Lady’ and ‘It’s Not Unusual’ for a not-to-be-missed night on the green. National legend Sir Tom Jones’ career has spanned over half a century, and has seen him win many accolades including a BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music and a Silver Clef Award for Lifetime Achievement. A global star, who was knighted by Her Majesty the Queen in 2006, has amassed 36 top 40 UK hits and has a continued worldwide reputation as one of the great vocalists, earning the nickname ‘The Voice’. Aptly, Sir Tom Jones has been a coach on BBC1’s ‘The Voice’ since 2012. Sir Tom Jones said: “I’m really looking forward to appearing at ‘An Evening At The Races’ this summer. I always have a fantastic time performing to the audiences at the Racecourses so it’s my pleasure to be asked to return for another year.” ‘An Evening At The Races’ offers a value for money experience unlike any other this summer. Alongside incredible headlining performances, the action kicks off earlier in the evening with 6 races – giving fans the chance to witness powerful equine athletes who are stars in their own right, and enjoy the thrilling drama and spectacle of them racing for glory. Whether you fancy a flutter or a dance with friends and family the event is certain to be an odds on favourite for all, with tickets starting at only £28. Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “This summer’s appearance at Market Rasen by Tom Jones will be the biggest concert that the racecourse has ever staged. It is a real coup for Market Rasen and Lincolnshire and, at The Jockey Club Live, we are delighted to be bringing such a global star to the county. Tom Jones is the complete performer and always sells out his racecourse concerts. So the message to music and racing fans is to buy your tickets as soon as possible, otherwise you risk disappointment by missing out. Tom loves horseracing and music coming together because, as he says himself, ‘win or lose you still have a great time’.” Joining already announced Kylie (Haydock and Newmarket), Kaiser Chiefs (Newmarket, Sandown and Haydock) and Madness (Newmarket, Haydock, Carlisle and Epsom), the addition of Sir Tom Jones to the stellar ‘An Evening at the Races’ season reinforces The Jockey Club Live as a leading promoter on the UK live scene.
